Chairmanship of the OCHA Donor Support Group (ODSG)

Luxembourg’s chair­man­ship of the ODSG comes at the mid­dle of the imple­men­ta­tion of OCHA’s 2023 – 2026 strate­gic plan, which focus­es on a human­i­tar­i­an sys­tem that is more peo­ple-cen­tred and less bureau­crat­ic, and aims to fur­ther strength­en the resilience of affect­ed com­mu­ni­ties. Lux­em­bourg is focus­ing its chair­man­ship on ini­tia­tives to reform OCHA, such as the reform of the human­i­tar­i­an pro­gramme cycle (HPC) and the Flag­ship ini­tia­tive, which aim to make the human­i­tar­i­an sys­tem less resource-inten­sive and more peo­ple-cen­tred. The chair­man­ship will end in July 2024.
